Jakob GrØn joined Merlone Geier in 2011. His primary responsibilities include coordination of the firm’s accounting function, financial reporting and tax compliance as well as oversight of cash management and internal controls.
Prior to joining Merlone Geier, Mr. GrØn served five years as Controller and three years as Chief Financial Officer of Greenbriar Homes Communities, Inc., a production home builder and developer of luxury home and apartment communities. Mr. GrØn also worked from 1998 to 2002 in the San Francisco office of Ernst & Young LLP, ultimately as Tax Manager, providing tax services to commercial and residential developers and property management companies.
Mr. GrØn is a native of Denmark and graduated from Copenhagen Business School with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Business Administration and Economics. He spent a year of his graduate studies at the Duke University Fuqua School of Business. Mr. GrØn is a California licensed CPA and is resident in the firm’s San Francisco office.
