Barron Caronite has been with Merlone Geier since 2007. His primary responsibilities are to be an integral part of the firm's forward planning land use, entitlement and development activities while maintaining an active role in underwriting the acquisition and disposition of assets. Mr. Caronite's responsibilities extend to the oversight of the firm's environmental compliance and mapping needs, as well as, infrastructure planning, design and construction activities.
Prior to joining Merlone Geier he served in various public agency and private consulting positions. As Deputy Director of Land Development for the City of Reno, Nevada and Assistant City Engineer for the City of Delray Beach, Florida, Mr. Caronite managed technical teams in support of the communities' planning, community development and redevelopment efforts. Mr. Caronite has also served as a consulting engineer in the land use, entitlement, design, permitting, management and development of multiple residential and commercial real estate developments. He has extensive experience in the formulation and management of infrastructure capital improvement programs inclusive of roadway and utility systems, traffic engineering and storm water management requirements.
Mr. Caronite graduated from the University of South Florida in 1993 with an undergraduate degree in civil engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the States of Florida and Nevada. After residence in both the firm's San Francisco and Sacramento offices, he is now resident in the firm's San Diego office.
